i recently have been having numbness and weakness in the lower part of my body

i went to my dr and he had an mir scan done on my brain,neck and middle of my back,after this scan was performed i expienced a great deal of pain in the neck down to the lower spine and it hasnt gone away.The dr says seeings how its been atleast 20yrs scince my mri scan was performed the lessions...
