Hi Cindiann,
As you already know that you are experiencing a relapse, I would recommend that you call your neurologist. He/she may want to treat you with a round of steroids which would help to calm these symptoms down. I get the crushing-type pain on the left side of my face. Taking neurontin (gabapentin) daily has helped to keep this pain under control. Definitely call your doctor and see what you guys can do to get you feeling better soon.
hey cindyann_39 DANIEL HERE and these hugs are a prolonged spasm I beleive. I have these in my legs ALOT. I stretch and lay down. Sometimes it helps but I have learned to live with not being as active as I once was. I was not fortunate to know that I had this disease until some damage was done. Then I could not beleive it so I waited about eight years before any treatments. Of coarse with so many docs with conflicting results I had no choice. I take tramadol and muscle relaxers. The relaxers are something I can't get used to. I was very, very active. I guess accepting this is harder then it seems. Try going to your neuro(if any) and get a muscle test done to see if you have pinched nerves. Maybe he can Rx a relaxer that can actually work. Well I hope you feel better and GOD BLESS YOU LOTS!!! bye for now.
