Q: MS symptoms or not

Been having the following symptoms for the last 3 weeks: Pins and needles in my right arm, then 3 days later felt as if someone had kicked the right side of my face, my right eye hurt to touch or move it; then the painful muscle spasms set in my arm making it impossible to stretch it out completely; two days later the infernal itching started all over my body in separate spot but no rash. Went to the doctor, had an MRI - the results showed small vessel ischemia with no lesions in the periventricular region and moderate fluid in the right mastoid air cells. The doctor says the ischemia could be from migraines (which I have not had for years) or hardening of the arteries (I'm 56). He is sending me to a neuro next week. Now my hand has the pain from RSD (I had this several years ago as the result of carpal tunnel release). I have also had Tetanus a couple of years ago. Does any of this sound like MS? The pain in my arm is excruciating but my doctor seems unconcerned and thinks it will go away on its own.

Hi Christy

I am sorry you have been having these horrible symptoms.  I am not a doctor so I could not tell you if this is MS or not.

Here is our page of symptoms so you can look at them in the meantime.  As hard as it might be, you are going to have to wait to see what a neurologist has to say.

Please let us know what happens with you.  And thank you for your question!
