Q: Any one else getting bruising and hives with the copaxone injections? After 3 weeks on the meds my n

After 2 weeks reaction free on the medication copaxone I started getting bruising and hives at the injection site. The last week a reaction after every injection. The shared solutions nurse is concerned and my neuro wants me to stop and switch to a interferon. I am confused and disappointed, it took me 5 months to decide to start the copaxone in the first place. Have lived with MS for 12 years, the last 6 months have had flare ups and many lesions and black holes showed up on my last MRI.n What to do, what to do????

Hi K in PA I do the Betasearone injections and I have for the past five years. I still from time to time get bruising. I do not think that there is anyway around it. I rotate injection sites, but from time to time I will bruise. Do not be alarmed. I am a black woman and my bruises are visiable, if smeone ask about the bruise, I always hope that my husband is standing there and they say "oh my how did you get that bruise?" My reply is my husband punched me, but you should see the one I gave him!" then we both walk off laughing! sherry/smomdukes
