Hi Squirly,   Welcome.  I'm so sorry that your question went unanswered for so long.    Sometimes when a relapse occurs and/or there are new lesions, the symptoms can last for any length of time.  I personally have some symptoms which have never really gone away, but they aren't as intense as they once were.   Sometimes it takes weeks for the effect of the IV streroids to really kick in.  Now that it's been a few weeks, has the numbness improved any?  Other times, the steroids may work quickly, but the symptoms still linger for months.  This has happened to me before.   I hope that things get back to normal for you and that the numbness doesn't drive you crazy.  BTW, that's an adorable baby in your profile photo.  Looks very happy.   Be well, Lisa
