Q: Does MS have anything to do with slow healing?

I broke my right foot in 1984 and it took 8 months to heal. Now I have broken my left foot, doctor says it should heal in 6 weeks.

TMoz,

I'm not a medical professional, but just a fellow MS patient.  I don't know of any reason why MS would contribute to slow healing.  It's not like lupus or scleroderma which can cause slow healing.

Although the doctor said 6 weeks, you probably already suspect that it might take longer.  Be sure to follow the doctor's advice on how to care for your foot.  I hope that your doctor will reevaluate how your foot is doing in a few weeks and make adjustments to your expected healing timeline accordingly.

Hope you are are doing well besides the broken foot (which is bad enough itself).  Take care of yourself.
