I've had M.S. for 30 years and am now in secondary progressive phase. The burning feels like a severe sunburn with stinging ants crawling on top. At times it is nearly unbearable. My neuro prescribed Tizanidine, but it made the burning spread to the torso.

Q: Anyone have good results with natural/alternative treatments for intense burning pain in the legs? I found that Formula 303 works for the full leg muscle spasms, but no luck treating the burning.

I haven't tried any alternative/complementary treatments for the type of sensory pain you describe. But I do use neurontin (gabapentin) which is somewhat similar to tizanidine. Definitely tell your doctor about the spreading burning sensation. I doesn't make sense to take something which makes the symptom worse. Wish I had more information to share. Please update and let us know what ends up working for you.
