Multiple sclerosis symptoms can flare up at any time and therefore it is important to be prepared when traveling with MS. It is always better to be safe than sorry, so bringing a cane just in case or packing extra medication for excessive fatigue is the safe way to go. It is also helpful to plan your trip carefully so you know where transportation is or whether you will be able to request mobility assistance. MS does not necessarily have to stop you from traveling, but it does take extra planning and the time to take care of yourself.
