The hypertension medication Midamor (amiloride) may prove to be an
effective treatment for multiple sclerosis (MS), British
researchers say. In a study published in the journal Nature
Medicine, researchers at Oxford report that Midamor reduced
degeneration of nerve tissue in mice suffering from an MS-like
condition.
