Oral Medication For Multiple Sclerosis

The first oral medications to treat multiple sclerosis (MS) may be available this year, experts say. Drugmakers Novartis and Merck are both slated to present data on late-stage trials of two oral drugs. Officials say that if the products go on to win approval, patients for the first time will be able to take pills, rather than shots or transfusions, to slow MS.
