FDA panel backs MS drug

A U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) panel has recommended approval of the MS drug fampridine. The panel said the drug appears to be safe and effective, but they warned that patients who had seizure problems should not take the medication. The FDA is due to make a decision on the drug on October 22, but experts say it may be delayed until early 2010.  Read full story >
