    Watch it to be inspired by people who are working very hard to lose weight.

     

    I completely agree with this - this is why my mother and I tune into the show. It is incredibly inspiring but neither of us are fooled by how much weight they lose and how quickly. I'm especially aware that two pounds a week is amazing progress and very healthy; it's what I strive...

I'm especially aware that two pounds a week is amazing progress and very healthy; it's what I strive for, but I don't freak out if I only lose one pound or even half a pound. As long as I'm losing, and doing it healthily, that's what matters!

    It is so important to have realistic weight loss and fitness expectations. Too often, people get discouraged and give up because they don't feel they are losing weight "fast enough." The fact is, weight loss is REALLY hard and take a lot of work. Pounds don't just shed off as fast as they are put on. Pace yourself...
