Great look out for our community, PriorFatGirl! Thank you. Banding has come under scrutiny as you say. And the FDA issued a warning to 1-800-GET-THIN, requesting that the surgical centers immediately cease marketing the gastric band using advertising that violates the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. They have failed to adequately warn consumers of the serious risks and side-effects that may occur after surgery. Weight-loss surgery is not a quick fix, and it is not without risk!
