This year I was truly blessed to have a lot of family home for the holidays, beginning with Halloween and lasting through New Year's Day. It truly was a time of great celebration! And usually the events of the day ended with the family gathered around my dining room table, or sometimes at a restauran...

Thanks so much for your interest!!! I am super excited to report that when I jumped on the scale this morning I had lost 7lbs! That's incredible.
My craving for carbs is diminishing, thankfully.
I have yet to be able to incorporate some of the lifestyle changes -- getting away from technology 2-hrs before bed, stress-free time for me, exercise. My life is somewhat crazy out of control with work. I really want to make these changes and I know they are necessary because I am teeter between being stressed out and burnt out. Maybe next time I report, I will have made progress in these areas.
I am ecstatic about the weight loss.
Are you considering taking the challenge? I am about to post a sharepost review/overview of the program.
Thanks again! MBL
I like the idea of these lifestyle changes. I haven't read the book so I don't know all the details. But this sounds good to me! Sounds like the author is taking the approach of looking at a person's whole being instead of just another diet.
Seven pounds is impressive...way to go!
Can you outline a few more of the changes one is to take? Hey maybe I could at least do a couple of them. No technology before bed? Now that is gonna be hard for me. :>)
Love your posts...you have a fan.
Awww... thank you so much for your very kind response. I tried to heart both of them but for some reason it is not working. You must have many fans yourself with all those hearts! I will be sure to read your posts -- looking forward to it.
I have a sharepost awaiting review, which is an overview of the program, entitled "Introducing The Primal Blueprint 21-Day Total Body Transformation." Likely it will be published tomorrow. I think it will answer some of your question, if you want to read it at some point. And I plan to post my progress from time to time... not a day by day account, but maybe at the end of each week.
In the meantime, you can begin with this change: Purge your food supply of processed foods, sugars, and grains. Items that you might overlook include condiments that are sugar-laden, powdered drink mixes and energy drinks.
You can try cooking with nut flours such as almond flour and coconut flour in lieu of grain-based flours. There are lots of recipes on the Internet, and I've posted a few on HealthCentral.
And it is OK to have wild rice one in a while, but I don't know why. I am going to write the author and ask.
I hope this is helpful! MBL
