So here we are, managing a precarious balance between what was then and what is now. We are still fragile at this point, and a spill might land us anywhere between a chipped ego or a burning wreck of our self-esteem.
After all, each of us is different. Tough as leather here, tender to the touc...

Thanks for sharing this information...I would have never known that hair loss could be a side effect of this procedure. It is not something you hear about in the news reports.
I am glad you are here to tell us the real facts about what this experience can be like...both the good and the bad.
I am also glad to hear that your hair loss was temporary.
Hope you have a lovely weekend,
MM
Hi Merely Me,
It is good to hear from you! Yes, thankfully the hair loss eventually stopped! However the challenge that remains is, I used to have big thick lucious hair and nowadays it is thin. I don't know if that is a result of the gastric bypass surgery, genetics, or something else. I was at the salon yesterday and there is a newer treatment available that thickens hair, which many people are saying works wonders. I want to research it. In fact, I think I will research thinning hair after gastric bypass and see what I can find. If anything worthwhile turns up, I will share it in a post.
