My Primal BluePrint 21 Day Total Body Transformation (or Something Like That) - My Bariatric Life
I embarked on The Primal BluePrint 21-Day Total Body Transformation Challenge some three-weeks ago. Although I believe there is a bit of drama in the title of this program -- 21 Days to Total Body Transformation -- I also believe that the Primal BluePrint 21 Day Total Body Transformation is quite useful. Overall, I am very satisfied with my results. I hardly feel totally transformed, but I do feel much better. And I lost more weight than I expected -- hee haw!

Our ancestors were a hearty bunch with a respectable lifespan unless the aforementioned alligator gobbled one of them down as a midday snack. Beyond such mishaps, our long gone ancestors had an acceptable existence. The staples for the good life of days gone by are about the same as those today: healthy eating, exercise, and low stress. These attributes were more easily captured in the way back paloelithic era, than they are now. Therefore, Marc Sission, the pioneer of The Primal Blueprint 21 Day Total Body Transformation suggests you take a try for just 21 days at the primal way of eating and assess the benefits for yourself.
What I Like About the Primal Blueprint 21 Day Total Body Transformation
One of the things I found most satisfying about the Primal Blueprint program is that it went beyond the normal diet and exercise regime. Suggestions were made to promote other lifestyle changes that effect health and wellness.
We should stop and smell the coffee, take some time for ourselves to simply relax. Abandon electronic media for a period and chat with partners or friends, read a book, take a walk, or play with a pet.
Instead of anchoring myself to a chair in front of my computer for eight uninterrupted hours, I take a 2-5 minute break every half hour. Nothing extravagant, just a few minutes of detachment.
I also liked that the program was outlined for simplification and that each day was essentially planned for me. The breakdown consisted of daily diet, periodic exercise, and lifestyle "challenges."
I also was guided toward and found many new recipes while reading The Primal Blueprint 21 Day Total Body Transformation.
Results of My Primal Blueprint 21 Day Total Body Transformation
It has been said that the proof lies in the pudding. Well, there is no pudding in this diet but the proof is there just the same.
I lost eight pounds shortly after beginning this diet and have not regained any of the weight. I have not been able to accomplish this before unless I engaged in a strenuous program of daily exercise. While this program does require exercise, the demands of the routine are more relaxed and the benefits are impressive. I have more energy because of the workouts and never feel bloated because of the nature of the diet.
What I Didn't Like About The Primal Blueprint 21 Day Total Body Transformation
My complaints about The Primal Blueprint program are minimal. Chiefly, I find that the diet is restrictive and find this a bit challenging.
While the challenges were normally useful, they were not always practical. My schedule and lifestyle does not allow the spontaneity some of the challenges incorporate; my restrictions seem to be more than those of the author.
Finally, while primal food shopping is certainly useful, it is also time consuming and requires visiting a number of food stores.
Overall though, the program does what it advertises. Give it a try and see if you agree.
As for me, I plan to stick with primal eating. Grains have no place in my bariatric life!
