Dear MBL,
Your advice is indeed just what I recommend for the holidays and for the whole year. Once I stopped eating any grains after a very short while I stopped missing them. For me the big push to do that was reading Dr. William Davis's book, Wheat Belly. Anyone interested in good health might want to explore what he writes at his blog.
Namaste,
David
Hi David,
Thank you for making it clear that we both recommend eating grain-free every day, not just at Thanksgiving. Even having a little grain once in a while will not break the addiction/craving cycle. I have found this out myself many times (sigh).
It may interest readers to know that wheat belly author, William Davis, MD, is a preventive cardiologist, and claims that beer belly is actually wheat belly (talk about grains making you fat). He also has a recipe library on his blog.
Have a great Thanksgiving, David!
