I have a cat that is spoiled, and I let her be that way so that I get up and open doors for her to exit, although she has her own little door. I often walk outside with her, and play with her. The point is that she helps me stay active because I care about her, and I realize that by pampering her, I'm helping myself.  I have Chronic Fatigue, and since my husband's terminal cancer was diagnosed, I have gained 45 pounds and can't seem to stop gaining. Pets are great for getting you up and moving, for like children, they need a lot of help, love and attention. FatandSad
