Fat story #2 – Do candy pieces instead of a bar mean smaller portions?

Hi CJ,  Instead of worrying about labels, (like obesity) start keeping a food diary and set a small goal like a twenty pound loss. Low fat meats like fish and chicken will help you lower cholesterol, (it did for me, along with weight loss)  I was able to drop to half the dosage of Lipitor that I had started out on. Something as simple as daily brisk walking in your neighborhood is a good start for physical activity. Daily is the key. Also, do not bring into your home any food that does not fit with weight loss and healthy living, which of course means that you do not put it in the grocery bag before that. Keep at it until you are no longer Chunky.  It is doable. Good luck.

hi Viva 2

What kind of patterns do I look for?

I know I eat a lot of bread!

I dont understand the guidelines for the food pyramid.

I usually eat only 1 fruit and 1 vegetable Daily

Thanks for suggesting the diary

I did notice how much I was eating

I found it made me more discouraged

Jon
