BMI is short for Body Mass Index and is calculated by "squaring" your height, then dividing your weight by this figure.  Your BMI is used to diagnose obesity.  An adult is considered overweight with a BMI between 25 and 29.9.  If the BMI is between 30 and 39.9, this person is considered obese.  Any BMI over 40 is considered morbidly obese.
