Obesity can lead to many conditions that ultimately raise a patient's risk of suffering a stroke. These conditions include hypertension, high cholesterol, heart disease and type 2 diabetes. The excess fat on a patient's body and the lack of physical activity and proper nutrition will all harm the body in multiple and profound ways.
