More than your doctor, you need a support systemof people who can identify with your story and your issues ad buddy up with you.  Curves is a great womens' gym that offers training and support, weight watchers has you doing weekly weigh ins and offers support groups, over eaters anonymous is a fabulous group and there are others - even online support groups available 24/7. So you need to find an eating and exercise plan and then use one of those (or more than one) support outlet.  If you're an emotional eater - then you may need therapy and even need to consider anti-depressants as a way to help you even temporarily "cope." Get the help and support you need - but the rest lies with your own motivation - the doctor is just a resource - there are other answers and solutions out there.
