Q: Is there any reason why someone can not lose weight doing all the right things?

I am a female, 42 Years old, currently 237.6 pounds and I was not overweight until after the age of 30. I eat 1450 calories a day using caloric intake software to ensure proper balanced nutrition, I run 3 miles a day every day and do strength exercises 20 minutes a day, but in 30 days I have only lost 0.4 of a pound and no inches. What do I need to do to kick-start a weight loss if this is not working for me? I am losing what motivation I have been clinging to for months that eventually I would reap the benifits of my hard work and I would conquer obesity. The calorie in/energy out ratio logically should be working but isn't.

It must be that you are not burning more calories than you are consuming.  I don't see how it could be anything else unless there is a problem with your scale.
