what hospital in louisiana takes medicad for the gastric surgery
Coverage of weight loss surgery is up to each state, and you must registered for Medicaid coverage in that state (generally) to qualify for that state's treatment. For example, if you are a Louisiana resident and enrolled in Medicaid in Louisiana, you can't travel to another state that covers weight loss surgery under its rules and try to get the surgery as a Medicaid recipient. You would have to be enrolled in that new state's Medicaid plan.
It does not appear that Louisiana Medicaid covers weight loss, bariatric, or lapband surgery. However, you can confirm this by calling the Medicaid office that oversees in-patient and out-patient hospital services at 225/342-7882
