Q: Pain meds and weight gain

I am on meds for pain and have gained weight because of it.I cannot be in the severe pain I am in everyday.I do have serve nerve damage to my siatica. I was wondering if there is pain meds that would not cause weight gain. I do have a problem with walking . What else can I do to get this extra weight off? I am not a big eater.
