Regulators from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) say that ads for the acne drug Aczone "grossly overstates" the drug's effectiveness. The FDA has warned drugmaker Allergan that the medical journal ad left out risk information, and mislead readers into assuming the drug was safer than has been demonstrated. The drugmaker says that the ad in question is no longer running.
