Experts at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that one in every four teen girls has a sexually transmitted disease (STD). For the study, experts looked for the STDs Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia trachomatis, Trichomonas vaginalis, herpes simplex virus type 2, and human papillomavirus (HPV) among 838 teen girls.
