Complications Of Gastric Bypass Surgery

Some patients who suffer complications after gastric bypass surgery
may be too big for scanning equipment, U.S. researchers warn.
According to the recent study, 27 percent of surgery patients who
weighed over 450 pounds could not fit on diagnostic equipment and
had to undergo exploratory surgery instead. Experts say patients
considering gastric bypass surgery should take into account that
they may be unable to get follow-up imaging using standard methods.
