What Should Government Do To Help Obesity

A new U.S. government report shows a 25-percent jump in the number
of adults with arthritis or other rheumatic conditions between 1997
and 2003. More than 46 million people now have arthritis, data
suggests, and the annual cost of caring for these patients is
almost 81 billion dollars. Experts speculate that obesity is one of
the factors behind the increased numbers, and that higher
medication expenses are behind the increased cost.
