My brother had arthroscopic surgery on his knee at age 63. Three years later, I had arthroscopic surgery on my knee at age 63. Prior to the surgery our pain was so bad we could not walk more than 300 feet before the pain was so severe we had to stop. We couldn't drive a car for more than 1 mile without being in pain. After the surgery it took us 3 to 6 months to regain full use of our legs. Eight years later for my brother, and 5 years later for me, we both live normal lives without any pain. However, three years ago my other knee progressed to the state my first knee did before I finally opted for surgery. This time the surgeon was so busy that it was necessary to get in line and wait 3 months just to get an appointment for consultation. In the meantime I was desperate for something to reduce my pain (without taking prescription drugs.) Over the counter pills were no help at all, the pain was too severe. I stumbled onto an extract from Green Lipped Mussel from New Zealand. By the time I was able to see the surgeon, my pain was gone! And as long as I take the Green Lipped Mussel, I am pain free and as happy as a clam.
