I wanted to know if osteoarthritis and lupus are common as two diseases together. Also I want to know if knee replacements are really worth the surgery and pain. I have to have both knees replaced and I am scared to death. Also I was wanting to know how I would bring up the subject to my orthopedist if he will refer me to a pain clinic because my Dr has quit giving me my meds now. He told me to have my specialist to write me out what I needed and he would take it from there. I showed him the new pain med and he dropped me like a hot potato. What do I do now? Please help.

Dear Tinygirl3366,
Thanks for submitting a SharePost.
I'm sorry to hear about your current situation. Unfortunately, I these are both issues that are best discussed with a doctor. I recommend that you speak with a doctor or an orthopedic specialist as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I have pulled together some information that you may find useful:
Lupus
Surgery for Osteoarthritis
Medications for Osteoarthritis
Alternative Treatments for Osteoarthritis
Best of luck and please let me know if you have any questions.
