All the test results are in. I don't have... RA, OA, Lupus, and the Rhummy doesn't think it's fibro. Now What. This has been a terible blow to me. I'm sick. Why can't  they find out what's making me sick. Every DR, and there have been tons of them, Think it's something different. And most conclu...

I didn't read any of your other posts if you have them. What kind of pain, symptoms are you having exactly? And if you're talking about how to deal with the pain every day then here's my advice. Make sure you rest when your body tells you to, only try to fight it for so long because if you keep trying to fight it, it will only make it worse at the moment and in the future. If you have been given a prescription pain medication don't fight with it either. I have for the longest time fought to keep myself from taking more than 1 or 2 a day despite my doctor's insistence that there are people who literally "live" on them or with them. After fighting OA for several years now I'm just getting to the point of giving in so to speak (this is after knee surgeries 6 months apart in both knees JUST to repair meniscal tears not to do anything about the arthritis) to taking more than 2 pain killers a day on top of the multiple amounts of Advil that I take.

Deep breathing and meditation also help because you have to have an inner peace to be able to deal with the pain and then the only the other thing I can tell you is that despite the pain don't give up or give in. You have to keep living and you have to keep a positive attitude about life and what you are doing. It's hard, my OA is in my knees and there are some days when I would just as soon curl up in my bed and stay there then get up and do what I do but I know that's not the right thing to do and if you string too many of those together you'll die and that's not a great alternative.

I hope also that your friends and family are good support system. My husband is wonderful to me when we are at home running up and down our stairs (yes, knee OA massively bad and we live in a 2 story house!!) to get me stuff and bring me things to make me more comfortable and so I don't hurt more. It's critical to have those people that care about you SUPPORT you but not feel sorry for you or feel sympathy for you, EMPATHY yes, not sympathy.

I hope some of this has helped, feel free to share your symptoms/pain areas, levels, etc. with me. I have been through a lot of medical issues in my life with my family and myself maybe I can give you some direction.

Thank you for your support. My husband & kids are really great about all of this. I have no idea what my washer/dryer look like since they're downstairs. The part that's got me down is the Doctors. I put in a call to the Rummy today for the referral he told me I could have. Tomorrow I'll call again. I just get fed up with the pain & not getting any answers.
