About Me

Dr. Matthew Thompson is an orthopedic surgeon in Washington, DC. He is currently completing his orthopedic surgery residency at George Washington University. He has been published in the journal Orthopedics and works closely with orthopedic specialists with a wide range of interests at George Washington University.

As a Chemical Engineering major at the University of Kansas, he participated on the Track & Field team and was the National Champion in the 2000 AIChE Chemical Engineering design contest. He then attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was active in research on both orthopedics and health policy. At George Washington University, he was a finalist for resident educator of the year, which was voted on by medical students.
