Hi,
I am on my second revision and I had nothing but complications. Now at the age of 33 I am on my 3rd knee and I have tibia fractures which is so painful at every step. I feel your pain. I am now waiting to hear from the surgeon on what NOW needs to be done!!!!
Hi,
I had my kee replaced in 2005 and then a partial replacement in 2007 because the femur part was too big for my body. 2007 was done by a different doctor of course.
Anyway, my understanding is we risk the chance of breaking our femur or tibia if we fall. Theres no give in our knee anymore. I know, this does not answer the question about the tibia fractures. However, I think I have a tibia fracture, hurts in a new place then before...below the knee, it hurts whenever I move it or walk. No pain patch, pain ointment helps it.
I was thinking perhaps the hardware came loose? I'm in pain everyday with the knee replacement, just this is a different kind of pain.
Dear dancing4myself---if you've read any of my blogs, you'll notice that I haven't had knee replacements, but have now had both hips replaced---1st surgery was awesome---the 2nd one has been horrible---yes, with tons of complications---I'm now 7 months post-op and still am having a million problems (not with the hip, but the tendon that they accidentally severed during surgery!!!)---hang in there---do your therapy---and hope and pray that it WILL GET BETTER!!!
