frustrated...but keepin' on.

By Pachie Friday, January 01, 2010

Hi. I'm new to this site, and it seems like a good one, to be involved with- for me. I have osteoarthritis, & degenerative disc disease. ...This started, so severely a couple of years ago; and now, I have to use a wheelchair most of the time. I am 43 yrs. old, and I feel in my 80's...alot!

Its hard, to use my arms & hands much of the time; due to neck issues, as well. It's weird, not being able to do simple, everyday things; like cooking & cleaning. I thank my fiancee, for helping me, sooo much.

It is humbling, and patience is learned, or I'd go nuts -over the constant pain, lack of energy, & immobility; I experience moment by moment.

I try & stay positive, but, I wonder...what will happen, in the future -how long, do I have, like this; ecspecially, if it continues to worsen...?!

Hi, Pachie.  You are so young to be in a wheelchair.  I am sorry to hear you have so much pain. Are you a candidate for joint replacement surgery that might stop the pain and increase your mobility?
