I have been reading others sharing their difficulties and frustrations about medication. My experience has been so far to question all doctors on all things because they don't always have me on the right stuff. I have osteoarthritis in my spine, knees, and wrist, the pain from my spine is a constant burden and I get depressed and upset that no operation can help my spine. I have just had knee stabilisation surgery and will have the same procedure on the other knee next year.Through it all I have learnt to listen more to what I want, pills especially these strong painkillers knock us around and I have found that changing my doctor for one that listens has been my best move, my medication was then changed so I could function better without the sickness as much. Don't get me wrong, it's all far from perfect but I am learning to be in charge of whats happening to me, not have others be in charge of me. I hope this gives someone a lift of hope. My life is not as I would prefer it, but it is my life and to accept my disabilities, I must feel comfortable with those who are meant to help me.
