Paying for Name Brand Osteoarthritis Medicine: There has to be a way!

By Pattye Snyder, Health Guide Friday, May 30, 2008
I was diagnosed with Osteoarthritis many years ago (and of course began a wide variety of surgeries, joint replacements, prescriptions, and lotions, creams, and potions), and I've sometimes struggled with my meds.  Very few prescriptions seemed to have a positive effect on my osteoarthriti...

If I were you, I would really consider trying for a cure or health improvement on your travels. Remembering this: Shaman and other Faith-Healers have their best results when their patients truly believe in them. End caveat. How and what you think directly affects how your body reacts to any given treatment. hy do you think Placebos work in 10-40 percent of drug trials?

I too have Osteoarthritis. I also have been diagnosed as having Rheumetoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Gout, Degenerative Disk Disease, Cryptogenic Peripheral Neuropathy affecting all four extremities, muscle spasms, sciatic nerve pain in both legs, eye muscle disfuntions, sleep apnea, and hemiplegic migraines. Quite a laundry list, wouldn't you say? Oh yeah, my various doctors don't play well with each other, either.

Anyway, my medical health insurance company regularly denies medication coverage. Almost every month they decide to question why I need this or that medication. They have been doing this for almost the entire ten plus years I have been retired from the military. And since the government pays for the lowest bidder in awarding contracts, I have a different company covering my life/health care every one to two years. I'm stuck with whomever, but you can pick. Maybe. It seems they all do it. Whatever is cheapest for them and gives their stockholders the best return for their investments.

Maybe my medications don't work as well as they should because I don't have any faith in our modern medicine. I know I am a skeptic.

Maybe they just haven't found the root cause of my body's problem.

My doctors admit they are just treating my individual symptoms.

Shaman and other Natural-type Healers try to cure the disease.

I don't care which way is better, all I want is to not have to deal with all the pain anymore. I want to live without this much physical pain.
