At a Glance

About 60 percent of adults over the age of 65 have some form of arthritis, with osteoarthritis being the primary type of arthritis.  Before age 45, osteoarthritis is more common in males.  History of injury, overuse and obesity can contribute to an increased risk for osteoarthritis.
