Over-the-Counter Pain Relievers

At a Glance

Osteoarthritis pain relief is one of the first lines of treatment of the condition.  Treatment can start with over-the-counter pain relievers, such as Advil or Tylenol.  Some companies also market pain relievers which are specifically made for arthritis pain relief.  These over-the-counter medications are for more mild cases, where patients should still consult a doctor to create a lifestyle change in order to stop the progression of the disease.
