Q: I have numbness in my left middle finger, tightness in upper arm, discomfort resting elbow on table

The numbness and tingling has only been there in my little finger for two days. It is sometimes uncomfortable to rest my elbow (bent upward) on a table surface--feels like a nerve thing on the back of my arm just above the elbow. Also, it often feels as tho I have a tight band around the top of my arm where it meets my shoulder.  These symptoms are not constant, but the numbness and tingling is now. Is this something to be concerned about?

I often see people with intermittant pain, numbness and tingling into the arm and shoulder and neck region. Usually, these symptoms improve once someone starts using a more supportive pillow at night. Most people sleep on their side and with a pillow that is too thin. Bad pillows cause poor sleep postures.

For the best support, I recommend the TempurPedic Pillows. Your neck, shoulder and arm might feel a lot better in just a few nights of better posture.

If the numbness persist or gets worse, see a doctor for an examination and further testing.
