I have Osteoarthritis in my hip but why is the pain worse when I get into bed and lie down

I have Ostioarthritis in my hip but why is the pain much worse when I get into bed and lie down.I dont get any sleep due to the pain

It's possible that when you go into certain positions in bed, those positions aggravate the painful site.  Another possibility is that you are more aware of the pain while lying down at night because you focus on it.  See your doctor and get help with the pain.  It has been well demonstrated that poor or limited sleep actually makes chronic pain sufferers more sensitive to pain, which only keeps this difficult cycle going.
