Q: Does Celebrex work for Osteoarthritis

I have severe osteoarthritis in my neck and spine, lots of bone loss and lots of pain.  My neck has a curve to the left and causes me to lie down to take the pressure off.  My Doctor has me on Celebrex 100 mg once daily and Cedeine Contin 50 mg once daily.  I find no pain relief with this.  Is there anything else I can do?

The best thing to do is tell your doctor that the prescribed pain medication you are taking aren't helping you.

There are other medication options for osteoarthritis pain relief. Click this link to find our page with several osteoarthritis drugs listed with detailed information on dosage, use and side effects.

Keep in mind that some simple pain killers work for some people. Many users on this site find relief with Tylenol and aspirin.

Bottom line, talk to your doctor and explain that you need better pain relief and pain management.
