There was a study two and a half years ago into Glucosamine, but they used Glucosamine Hydrochloride. In this article, Joel Rutstein, M.D. says that you should try the sulfate version (i.e. Dona Glucosamine), instead.

You can Google for Dona and find some places online that sell it, (though I've found CreakyJoints.org is the least expensive.)
