I get scynvisc injections and my doctor gave me my first one. He used an ultra sound screen to administer the injection. I experienced an awful pain during the injection, more painful than ever before. I have received these injections in the past but never felt pain like the pain I felt this time. The injection site continued to be tender and about two weeks later after another less painful injection given by a nurse practitioner my knee locked up and I could not bend it. After a visit to another doctor fluid was taken from the site of the first injection and steroids given to ease pain. An MRI showed a torn meniscus with the pain being in the same area of that first injection. Now I need surgery and must be out of work with no income at all ( no benefits )
