I'd like to know that as well.   I have osteoarthritis of the spine, left ribs and left knee plus a herniated cervical disc, degenerative joint disease and a slipped disc in the sacral spine. My feet and my legs swell up to my knees and even up to my groin, frequently. When I take medrol (the dose pack- though 8mg per day helps) all of the fluid goes away, and I can function much better with less pain. When I have been off of it for about a week, the swelling comes back. At times I get cellulitis when they have been swollen too long. I have been given three types and varied doses of diuretics and none of the fluid in my legs goes away, only my mouth and tears seem to dry up.
