Why do I get cramps in my left foot?  it usually happens while getting in the bed.  It's very painful; I squeeze my foot and bend it back and forth until it goes away, but I would like to know what's causing it. Thanks.

Most common causes for cramps is dehydration or electrolyte imbalances. So you should start with hydration with drinks that contain minerals and vitamins.

You can try to drink tonic water in the evening because it contains quinine that can help to control cramps.
