I had heard about PRPtherapy on the TV show the Doctors. I am upset to think that this will not work if the cartiledge is gone. I have Osteoarthritis in both hips. I was diagnost two years ago and only recently went back to see my Orthopedic doctor.  Unfortuneatley my right hip is now bone on bone. I am really depressed because doctors don't tell you about these research trials. I have always been proactive when it comes to my health but when you don't even know what to ask your doctor about ...you miss out on the possibility of an option to hip replacement surgery. What my doctor told me was that he has done surgery on patients who have not had hips as bad as mine.  Although he does stress that he will not tell me I should because it is my decision.  That's fine ... I get it. Right now my most difficult thing is that my leg lengths are off....by maybe a half inch.  I put an insert in my shoe ...it helps some.  As far as pain...I'm doing ok.....the cold months are tough. I have no resting pain.  I have learned to not overdo it.  I do get out and about.  I have always been a shaker and a mover. I still manage to move about pretty good ...try hard to overcome the slilght limp. I try hard to keep a positive attitude....it is of course a fine line with depression lurking in the wings as anyone knows with this condition.  I eat an anti inflammatory diet rich in natural foods ....lots of fruits and veggies. I refuse to take Mobic that he suggested....don't want to screw my stomach up. If I don't have pain....I don't take anythng.  Do take daily supplements for bone and joint health that include natural herbal anti inflammatories. I get tired of people commenting that you should have joint replacement surgery. Nothing is without risks.....considering that in a life time a second replacement would be necesseary because HR only last for ten or so years....the integrity of the bone likely won't receive a second  replacement as good as say the first. I am making note of the Proliferation Therapy that you mentioned. I will do some research and bring the information to my doctor the next time I see him. I am in Alabama but originally from NJ ...not surprised to see alternative therapies being done up there. Babbling along here....anyway ....thank you for the good information. Oh boy...just needed to vent a little.  thank you also to anyone else who is out there. good luck to all. :-)
