Hi there, how are you? When I was reading your comments, it was like reading my own story. I have a severe OA in my left hip with no cartilage left and at least 1 inch leg difference due to deformation. It is hard for me to walk around like that, it hurts my back and I am limping terribly. Also tired of people commenting on my limping or suggesting hip replacement. I am only 34 and feel embarassed to walk around with the cane...Thinking of all the risks of a total hip replacement makes me nauseated. I am also taking pain killers only when absolutely necessary but am trying all sorts of supplements. Anyway, you are concerned about new hip lasting only 10 years, maybe you can ask about ceramic hips that young patients get, they are supposed to last 25-30 years. I don't know if you can get it or pay for it if in the fututre you decide for a THR, but I gess you could, since you live in US where you are paying for your surgeries. Do you have any information regarding stem cell transplants or Proloferation Therapy? Thanks.
