Hi - yes, I was hoping you would read my prolo exp. and skip right to the PRP. I tried to find anyone who has had prolo for hips - it would be nice to be able to talk to actual people who have had the procedure. The theory of tightening the tendons and ligaments to change the wear pattern on the cartilage is good, and they say no side effects, but I beg to differ - I found out the side effects. The research on PRP is only on tendon and ligaments, not cartilage but my doc says that the stem cells will repair all structures in need. It definately gave me alot of relief, and allowed me the strength in my leg and hip to be able to gallop and jump and hold my position totally - like the old days. I am researching stem cell. My husband is a vet and just got back from a conference on stem cell for horses - we've been doing prp on horses for a while so I had already seen the positive results. I will let you know as I learn more specifics. The clinic in Denver who developed Regenexx stem cell has been shut down by the FDA because they now consider your own stem cells a drug to be regulated. It must be working well enough to threaten the AMA and all the Total Joint Docs... Canine  or Equine Adequan and Legend have been used by vets and trainers for a couple decades on themselves - works great on the horses, dogs and us. I think Luipold must get paid off by all the other pain med companies to keep a lid on marketing adequan for people - for the life of me I can't figure out the resistance to actual healing, but I wont settle for less. Hope that helps! Lisa
