Saturday, February 21, 2009 limits after knee surgery, Community Member, asks

Q: After tolal knee replacement,can you kneel on your knee to get in a bath tub after 2 yrs since surg

I had both knee's replaced, and was wondering if I can kneel just to get in the bath tub ?

I have arthritis from my neck down to my feet, I like to soak my body in the tub !!!!

I had both knees replaced at different times: 2003 and 2006.

I do get in the bathtub and soak because it feels so good, but have to use my arms to get out of the tub.  Sometimes I get out in stages going to the edge first and then up from there.
